Spectacular Spiders After School Activities

What’s creepy, crawly, and has eight legs? Spiders, of course! This week we’ll celebrate arachnids by designing our own spiders and painting our own webs. We’ll discover different types of spiders known in South Africa and race our friends through a spider web obstacle course. While the lesson plan incorporates many different Pennsylvania Learning Standards, it focuses on the key learning area of "Scientific Thinking and Expression” and “Creative Thinking and Expression.” Specifically, students will engage in activities that meet the PA Standard Areas of Science, Social Studies, and Visual Arts.
