Snowy Stories Kids' Day Out Activities

Bundle up for some winter tales and frosty fun! We’ll read The Snow Queen and bring the story to life with our artwork, describe chilly characters, and compare two versions of the icy trickster, Jack Frost. It’s a cool way to explore reading, writing, and creativity! This plan is designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and develop problem-solving skills. Throughout the day, students will engage in a variety of activities that blend art, social-emotional learning, hands-on engineering, and scientific exploration. While the lesson plan incorporates many different Pennsylvania Learning Standards, it focuses on the key learning area of “Language and Literacy Development.” Specifically, students will engage in learning activities that meet the PA Standard Areas: Foundational Skills, Reading Literature, and Writing.
