Junior Rangers School-Age Summer Camp Plan
Set off on a nature-packed adventure! Begin by exploring national parks and sharpening your map-reading skills with exciting hikes. Grab a pair of binoculars for birdwatching and discover wildlife in their natural habitat. Let’s head to the great outdoors! Junior Rangers is a school-age unit steeped in activities that enable students to challenge themselves,
experiment, and transform information into meaningful content and skills. Students will prepare for the trails as they use scientific thinking, inquiry, and discovery! While the lesson plan incorporates many different Pennsylvania Learning Standards, it focuses on the key learning areas of "Language and Literacy Development” and “Social Studies
Thinking.” Specifically, students will engage in learning activities that meet the PA Standard Areas of Writing, Speaking and Listening, Basic Geographic Literacy, and Physical Characteristics of Places and Regions.
