Feathered Friends Kids' Day Out Activities

Fly with the birds as we learn about migratory creatures like robins and geese, go on a birdwatching adventure, make bird feeders to attract feathered friends, and explore the art of building a nest! Feathered Friends is a lesson plan designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and develop problem-solving skills. Throughout the day, campers will engage in a variety of activities that blend art, social-emotional learning, hands-on engineering, and scientific exploration. While the lesson plan incorporates many different Pennsylvania Learning Standards, it focuses on the key learning area of “Scientific Thinking.” Specifically, children will engage in learning activities that meet the PA Standard Area: Life Sciences.
