Beneath Our Feet Kids' Day Out Activities

Dig into wonders of geology as we explore the layers of the Earth! Create a colorful Earth layers craft, build and erupt volcanoes, and discover how heat moves beneath the surface. Beneath Our Feet is designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and develop problem-solving skills. Throughout the day, campers will engage in a variety of activities that blend art, social-emotional learning, hands-on engineering, and scientific exploration. While the lesson plan incorporates many different Pennsylvania Learning Standards, it focuses on the key learning area of “Scientific Thinking.” Specifically, students will engage in learning activities that meet the PA Standard Areas: Earth and Space Science, Physical Science, and Visual Arts.
