All Aboard After School Activities

Do you hear the train chugging down the track? This week we’ll explore the world of trains as you build your own paper locomotive engine, measure the lengths of model railroad tracks, and create a cool train out of shapes. We’ll learn about the history of trains and pretend we are trains as we solve math problems. Get ready to step into the station! While the lesson plan incorporates many different Pennsylvania Learning Standards, students will engage in specific activities that meet the PA Standard Areas of Science, Social Studies, Health, Wellness and Physical Development, and Visual Arts.
