Planet Protectors Kids' Day Out Activities

Get ready to defend the planet and celebrate Earth Day! We’ll create our own Earth Day posters, take a nature hike, paint a 3D model of Earth, and play a game of endangered animal charades. This Earth Day, learn how YOU can make a difference for the planet we call home! Planet Protectors is an interactive school-age lesson plan that encourages students to construct knowledge through thoughtfully planned activities and active exploration of their environment. While the lesson plan incorporates many different Pennsylvania Learning Standards, it focuses on the key learning area of “Scientific Thinking and Technology”. Specifically, students will engage in learning activities that meet the PA Standard Areas: Biological Sciences, Earth Sciences, and Environment and Ecology.
