Over the Moon Kids' Day Out Activities

Get ready to explore the Moon! Let’s blast off to space and learn more about the Moon’s phases. We’ll make foil moons, glowing moons, and moon shadows. We’ll also discuss how we change, just like the Moon! Over the Moon! is an interactive school-age lesson plan that encourages students to construct knowledge through thoughtfully planned activities and active exploration of their environment. While the lesson plan incorporates many different Pennsylvania Learning Standards, it focuses on the key learning area of “Scientific Thinking and Exploring.” Specifically, students will engage in learning activities that meet the PA Standard Areas: Visual Arts, Writing, and Earth and Space Science.
