Mosaic Madness Kids' Day Out Activities

Get ready to piece together some creative fun! Solve shape puzzles, design colorful Roman-style mosaics, and make your own rockin’ mosaic art with decorative stones. It’s hands-on fun with patterns, shapes, and imagination! This plan is designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and develop problem-solving skills. Throughout the day, students will engage in a variety of activities that blend art, social-emotional learning, hands-on engineering, and scientific exploration. While the lesson plan incorporates many different Pennsylvania Learning Standards, it focuses on the key learning area of “Creative Thinking and Expression.” Specifically, students will engage in learning activities that meet the PA Standard Areas: Visual Arts and Historical and Cultural Context of Works of Art.
